Verification
Prove it is the right person, on the channel that actually arrives.
Banks, fintechs and shops in Ghana lose customers when a code never lands. Verification on Tian Afrik is built to try the next channel, not to hope.

The code, on the phone
This is the screen a customer sees when Tian SMS sends a one-time password. The digits above are an example, not a live code.
OTP today
Tian SMS already sends one-time passwords by SMS. You call the API, we deliver the code, and the delivery report comes back on a webhook.
Fallback next
The intended chain is SMS, then a voice call that reads the code, then WhatsApp. People who do not receive SMS reliably still get in.
Number lookup
A home-location-register style check: is the number live, which network is it on, has it been ported or is it roaming. You skip the send when the answer is no.
Stronger checks
Silent or flash-call verification, phone-number intelligence and a fraud score are on the roadmap. They are not a product you can buy on this site today.
A login, told as a teaser
The customer types a phone number. Tian SMS sends the code. Twenty seconds pass and the delivery report is still empty. In the finished platform, Tian Voice rings the handset and reads the digits. If the call is not answered, a WhatsApp template carries the same code. Today, step one is what you can switch on. Steps two and three are what we want you to design for, not what you can invoice yet.
